Jo was born as the youngest of six children. I really wish I knew more about what she was like in her earlier years, but I can only assume she was much of the same awesome person, as she was in her most recent years.

Jo is:

Smart - A lifetime of successfully navigating through life's many obstacle's, as well as helping me with many of my own.

Friendly - Easily approachable, she could have a genuine conversation with just about anyone, and often did. She was a magnet to others while on public

Happy - We all have our tougher moments in life, but It was a very rare to see her without a smile upon her face when you were with her.

Funny - "I would like to try stand up one day". I heard her say this more than once. A tough feat to carry out, but she could often say something to get you to laugh.

Loving - To all who she knew, she truly cared and was engaged in those conversations and interactions that she had with us.

Resilient - Experiencing situations not many have encountered , I cannot think of anyone that I know that is stronger than her.

Opinionated - Open and interested in others perspectives, but if she didn't agree, she wasn't afraid to let you know.

Outgoing - She would be the first in the room to raise her hand to volunteer, and wasn't fazed by any outside noise or negativity.

Generous - Always willing to share, whether food or whatever she had. The most important asset a person can share is their time. And hers was always available for us.

Fun - Never shying away from an adventure or trying new things. Throughout her life, she sought out those fun moments in her life, and never let it pass her by.

... And so much more.

I feel honored as her son to have inherited even just a few of these special traits that made her into the unique, positive and lovable person the Lord has created to partake on his earth, and beyond.

March 22nd, 2025

On Saturday March 22nd, 2025 at 10:00 am, my mom experienced a sudden episode of "shortness of breath". After speaking with her on the phone (in which she sounded as normal as always) we both agreed that to be cautious, she should go to the hospital to get checked out. I do not believe that either of us had thought that this was anywhere as serious as it was at the time.

Moments after our call, her condition intensified greatly and she called 911 believing she was suffering from a heart attack. However, Later tests taken showed that no heart attack was believed to have occurred.

Emergency services arrived a short time later, and conversated with my mom while they got her situated onto the gurney. She left her home in seemingly a somewhat stable condition.

On the short ride to the hospital, her oxygen levels dropped and her organs began shutting down. From my understanding, she was not conscience when they brought her into the hospital just before 11:00 am. They worked for a period of time, but were not getting any signs of improvement.

At 11:22am,

My mom got called home.

It has been said that the greatest day on earth in a believer's life, is the day that we get called home. I truly believe this, and take great solace in that. I still don't have a clear understanding to what exactly happened to my mom on this day. I have read the reports and spoken with the doctors, without any definitive answers. I just have to believe that it was her time.

I created this website as a place for myself , her family and friends to see my mom's smile again. She loved life, and lived a life well lived. As I wrote that last line, I could have sworn I heard my mom whisper to me "No Regrets".

Always Remembered, and Forever Loved.

Thank you for visiting my website!

I've felt your presence with me here today, and appreciate you stopping by!

Don't be a stranger.
